| The Noah Foundation Serving God's Children In Ukraine |
This is the story of God's grace and how lighting one candle does make a difference. Nine years into my son's marriage, he and his wife had a beautiful baby boy. They named him Noah. He was my first grandson and their first child. He was born on Valentine's Day. He was healthy and oh so special to us all. God saw fit to allow us to have Noah's love for only five months. He was taken back to heaven due to a daycare accident. There is no way to explain the pain. There is also no way to explain God's grace during that seemingly impossible walk. I promised Noah and God that I would never forget. Little did I know exactly what I had promised. A year after Noah's death, I was invited to Evpatoria, Ukraine for a two week mission trip. God made it clear to me my healing would come through giving myself to the abandoned children of Crimea. I later returned for three months, then again for six months and most recently for one year. These children have now become my life's work. The Noah Foundation works with locals in the church and community to give aid and comfort to the village children in Vnukovo, a small village just outside Evpatoria. I thank God for allowing me to have Noah's love, although it was only for a short time. We try to pass that same love on to the children and tell them of God's ultimate love, mercy and grace.
